Officially Texan!
Today was the day we appeared before a judge here in Travis County to have the State of Texas officially recognize Audrey's Chinese foreign adoption decree. This allows her to be issued a Texas birth certificate. That will make her life a whole lot easier down the road as we all need a certified birth certificate from time to time and getting another one from China would be next to impossible.
We had to be at the courthouse at 1:30 but we were the last adoption on the docket so the wait was about an hour and a half. Audrey wanted to walk and walk and walk...of course Harold had to hold her hand everywhere she went...Here is exhausted Daddy with the little princess...
Here is Audrey with Mommy, who was well rested since she got to sit and complete paperwork!
And here we are with Judge Hathcock. He is the same judge that signed Lilli's recognition paperwork...
Now, she is an official Texan! We love you Audrey! And thanks for being such a good sport during naptime!
