Happy Birthday Audrey!

Today Audrey turned 16 months old! And what a better way to celebrate than taking her to the hospital for surgery! Oh sure, it's not a gift she appreciates very much today...but one day she will thank us for it (not anytime soon I'm sure!)

We are home from the hospital and all went very well! We got Audrey out of bed at 5:30 this morning and took her straight to the car! Poor thing could not eat or drink and you all know what a little piggy she is! She was great on the ride to the hospital!
She and Daddy played in the waiting area while I filled out her paperwork, then they took us to pre-op. Here is Daddy holding her while they put on some monitors.

Audrey went to the OR with her nurse. No tears at all!

Of course she turned on the tears BIG TIME when Mommy came to recovery!

Once she was given enough IV fluid and could hold down clear liquids they let me give her a bottle. That made her happy....for the moment anyway!
Now we are back home. Audrey has a full tummy and drugs on board! She actually fell asleep with a bottle in one hand and a saltine in the other! Too cute! Hopefully she will get some good sleep now.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. She's one step closer to well...Steps of her own! We sure do love this little girl!
